VP RACING PRESENTS WEEKEND WARRIOR RACING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP POWERED BY FASTRAK UPDATE – JEREMY PILKERTON CONTINES TO HOLD TOP SPOT IN $10,000 TO WIN FASTRAK NATIONAL POINTS CHASE
Richmond, KY – With only a handful of races left in the VP Racing presents Weekend Warrior Racing National Championship powered by FASTRAK Racing national championship, Jeremy Pilkerton of Loveville, MD, remains on top of the national point standings with 478 points. He holds a slim four-point lead over Luke Hyre of Rock Cave, WV (474 points).
With Elkins Raceway’s season having been completed this past Saturday, that leaves only three more chances to score points toward the WWR National Championship. Those are Saturday, September 16th, for Virginia Motor Speedway Championship Night and September 29 – 30th at the FASTRAK Touring Series events at Richmond Raceway.
Rounding out the top five in Weekend Warrior Racing National Championship points are Chandi Currence (451 points), Noah Whited (416 points), and Dave Loudin (410 points).
Sixth through tenth, respectfully, are Billy Hubbard (397 points), Ronald Pyles (396 points), Bud Stinson (373 points), Chad Green (369 points), and Davis Lipscombe (363 points).
Elkins Raceway August 26, 2023, Recap: 2022 WWR National Champion Brent Trimble of Morgantown, WV, scored the $1500 Fall Festival win over A.J. Spagnuolo of Shinnston, WV. Luke Hyre of Rock Cave, WV, finished sixth and was crowned the 2023 Pro Late Model Champion.
