Richmond Raceway to Host Back-To-Back FASTRAK Touring Series Events September 29-30th; One Lucky Driver Each Night Will Take Home a New GM Performance 604 Crate Engine
Richmond, KY – The FASTRAK Racing Series will travel to "The Beast of The East" Richmond Raceway located in Richmond, Kentucky, on September 29th-30th for two $ 5,000-to-win events. On Friday, September 29th, FASTRAK Racing Series competitors will compete in the "Prelude To The Damn Yankee" event paying $5,000 to win and $400 to start. On Saturday, September 30th, FASTRAK Racing Series competitors will compete for the "6th Annual Damn Yankees Fifty" event paying $5,000 to win and $400 to start. One lucky driver will go home each night with a brand-new GM Performance 604 crate motor. All they have to do is register and attempt to qualify, and they will be entered into the random drawing each night.
“We are super excited to host back-to-back $ 5,000-to-win FASTRAK Touring Series events. We are anticipating a large car count as these will be the final two races that will determine the 2023 champion,” commented FASTRAK and Richmond Raceway owner Bill Lupinos.
Adding to the big weekend’s excitement will be former NASCAR star Kenny Schrader racing his UMP Modified against Richmond Raceway’s regulars. Fans will have a chance to meet Schrader both days at the autograph session.
Friday, September 29th race program will include the FASTRAK Racing Series ($5,000 to win), UMP Modifieds ($1000 to win), and Super Stocks ($750 to win).
Saturday, September 30th, the race program will include the FASTRAK Racing Series ($5,000 to win), UMP Modifieds ($1000 to win), and Hornets ($400 to win).
On both days, pit gates will open at 2:00 PM, and grandstand gates will open at 4:00 PM. The drivers’ meeting both days is set for 5:30 PM, with hot laps to follow. For additional event details, visit www.richmond-raceway.net.
Adult admission on both Friday and Saturday is just $20, with children 10 and under free. Pit passes on both days are $40, and children 6-12 are $20.

Tire Rule: Open fronts. FT200 and FT400, Crate 21, and Crate 55. Grooving/siping allowed. Entry Fee: $110 each night.
When asked about the tire rule, Lupinos stated, “With the tire rule for 2023, we are allowing siping due to the fact that in the past, it has been allowed at the Damn Yankees event with FASTRAK. The tire rule for this event is to help accommodate competitors in the region around Richmond Raceway; this tire rule has been utilized at the past Damn Yankees events sanctioned by FASTRAK.”
Heading into the two-race weekend at Richmond Raceway, the current top five in the FASTRAK Racing Series touring point standings include Dillon Brown (65 PTS), Jeremy Pilkerton (59 PTS), Colby Quick (54 PTS), Jacob Brown (52 PTS), and Brent Trimble (35 PTS).
