Tonight from the Headquarters of the FASTRAK Radio Network in Four Oaks, North Carolina from within the “FASTRAK Shack” join Wesley as he talks with a great line-up of talented drivers, sponsors and promoters. The “Countdown Clock” ticks away for the 7th Edition of the “Worlds Richest Grassroots Championship Series” the $250,000 FASTRAK Grand Nationals which are rapidly approaching.

Up first tonight on the FK Rod Ends Hotline will be the driver of the #29 Lazer G2- Chassis and the most recent FASTTRAK Racing Series winner Steve Hendren. Hendren is fresh off of winning the event that was dedicated to the memory of his late father Bill. Steve will discuss his win and all the work he, his family and the staff at Cleveland County Speedway put in to build the Bill Hendren Memorial into such a success. Hendren, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina bested the likes of 45 other Pro Late Model contenders to take such an emotional and historic win at the Lawndale, North Carolina 4/10ths of a mile facility.

The excitement was palpable when Hendren won the race.  The race also turned a “Slobberknocker” into a “Barnburner” for the 2011 FASTRAK SE/ME Touring Series $10,000 Championship. David Smith from Inman, South Carolina experienced battery and tire issues in the 40 lap A-main Friday night causing him to slip to 14th in the final rundown and toppling him from atop the point standings. Brandon Umberger was right there to take advantage of Smith’s trouble coming home with a 2nd place run. Umberger is hoping to pull the upset by going into the final SE/ME Points event this weekend as the leader. It all comes down to the $3000 finale of the Dirt Late Model SUPER NATIONALS this weekend at Wythe Raceway! This is a race you don’t wanna miss and he’ll be on to talk about his thoughts and preperation to getting ready for this weekend!

Chris Knight from City Chevrolet will also join Wesley to discuss the wild and crazy season thus far in the 2011 City Chevrolet Weekly Racing Division. Chris will also tell the listeners just how the City Chevrolet Weekly Racing Division came about; why its been so successful and his thoughts on the whole 2011 FASTRAK season. We will even try to get a prediction on who he thinks will take the $30,000 Grand Nationals. Chris will also discuss the $50,000 payout to the top 50 spots nationwide and what inspired that payout structure.

Finally we’ll be joined by someone who is no stranger to the broadcast or our audience. Rural Retreat, Virginia promoter extraordinaire and owner of the beautiful 1/2 mile Wythe Raceway which is nestled between the Allegheny and Appalachian Mountains of southwestern Virginia. Wythe Raceway is celebrating 41yrs of racing heritage. Saturday night will be the Season Finale for 2011 at Wythe Raceway. Brown will end his season in fine style hosting a double headliner event which features the FASTRAK Pro Late Models and the Ultimate Super Late Models. There will be full racing events for both the FASTRAK Pro Late Models and the Ultimate Super Late Models along with the Wythe Raceway support divisions. The FASTRAK SE/ME Championship will also be decided while the drives duke it out for 50 laps and $3,000 to win. The ULTIMATE Super Late Models Series will also battle 50 laps and vie for a $5,000 winner’s purse.  *Keep your tickets from the rained-out September 2nd & 3rd events as they will be honored for this weekend.
