Steve Hendren from Rutherfordton, NC and the Driver of the #29 FASTRAK Pro Late Model/ Owner of Hendren Race Engines will be on the FK Rod Ends Hot-line to discuss this big race weekend that was put together in honor of his dad the late Bill Hendren. Who in his own right was one of the backbones in getting FASTRAK off the ground with his support of Stan Lester’s series now in its 8th season. Also Steve will go over and talk about the entire event with Wesley and I mean everything. From the race creation to the race format, purse structure, sponsors, contingencies, and the driver entry list so far & much, much more!! Also he’ll talk about next years “2nd Annual Bill Hendren Memorial” as he’s already amping that up for 2012!!
Tami &/or Jim Mullis are the Promoter/Track Manager of Cleveland County Speedway & Motorsports Complex in Lawndale, NC. They’ve had a very successful 2011 under the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Weekly Racing Division banner with great car counts in the FASTRAK GM Performance Pro Late Models Division every Friday night under the lights at the newly configured 1/2mile dirt facility. They have already hosted the FASTRAK Racing Series one time this year back on July 22nd when #17p from Shelby, NC Jason Pack won the thrilling $2,000 to win show. They are now hosting another great barn-burner event the “Bill Hendren Memorial” this weekend and they discuss the preparations and much more that the track is doing in preparing for the event. We’ll also get his/her thoughts on it finally being made official that the Lawndale, NC track was getting Round #1 of the $250,000 FASTRAK Grand Nationals on October 7-8 2011 for the FASTRAK SE/ME Touring Series deemed “The Largest Grassroots Racing Championship in the Country”!!
Finally we’ll have the driver of the TNT Race Cars house machine from Piney Flats, TN #83 “Kid Dynamite” Jensen Ford. He’s having a stellar 2011 racing season so far with 1 win at “The Gap” Volunteer Speedway at the August “SCORCHER 100″ FASTRAK Pro Late Model portion of the show and he currently is the Points Leader at Wythe Raceway for the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Division with 6wins on the mantle this year at the famed 1/2mile in Rural Retreat, VA where Night #2 of the Dirt Late Model SUPER NATIONALS have been Re-Scheduled to September 24th after the Rain-Out 2 Saturdays ago. He’s already qualified for the FASTRAK Grand Nationals and we’ll talk to him about that and why TNT Race Cars is having such success all over the dirt racing world this season!!
