Blair Leads City Chevrolet National Weekly Standings

Based on his fierce competitiveness and past performances, FASTRAK teams were well aware that the path to the 2011 City Chevrolet National Weekly Championship may indeed take them through Centerville, PA.  Max Blair, a perennial contender for the $10,000 1st place prize, recently reached the 705 point maximum allotted in the national weekly championship format.  Looking to defend his 2010 crown, Blair currently leads both the National Weekly standings as well as the FASTRAK Northeast Region Touring standings as well. 

David Smith continues his recurrent pursuit of dual FASTRAK championships as well.  Currently 8 points behind Blair for the weekly crown, the Inman, SC native also leads the SE/ME Tour Championship standings entering the month of August.  While Smith (697 points) currently has an 11 point cushion over the rest of the field in the weekly championship, he will need many more visits to victory lane in the remaining weeks of the season in order to catch Blair.

Winky McGee, Shawn Jett, and Noel Tucker, round out the top 5 in the National Weekly Standings.  McGee (686 points) is riding the momentum of early season dominance at FASTRAK tracks near his hometown.  Jett and Tucker, each with 680 points, are currently tied for the 4th position.  Jett has visited a variety of tracks in 2011, while Tucker has remained close to home so far this season.
